About
Los Tamarindos occupies the grounds of a nineteenth-century sugar cane plantation in Las Ánimas, about a mile inland from the Sea of Cortez. Owner and chef Enrique Silva returned the land to farming in 2003, and the open-air restaurant now cooks Mexican and Mediterranean dishes from what the organic farm produces, such as mezcal shrimp and pork shank in green mole. Dinner is served nightly beneath a palapa with string lights, with weekend brunch, a bar, a bocce court and hands-on cooking classes.
